Making you feel beautiful inside and out.
Applying the Foundation
I have been in the beauty industry for all of my adult life: I can’t remember ever wanting to be anything else. When I was younger I was always ‘experimenting’ with my mum’s makeup on friends and (more often than not) myself and I was delighted whenever she had a clear out of her bedroom drawer and gave me a new batch of cosmetics for my collection. I fervently flicked through the pages of glossy magazines, followed the latest makeup and hairstyle websites and repeatedly watched ‘how to’ videos so it was totally natural for me to want to study makeup techniques as I got older.
Learning my craft
After leaving school I studied for four years at the Bournemouth College and I am a fully qualified makeup technician and hair stylist. I achieved a Level 1 Diploma in Hairdressing, Level 1 and 2 Diplomas in Beauty Therapy and an Advanced Technical Diploma in Theatrical, Special Effects and Media Make Up Artistry, as well as completing a course in Spray Tanning.
Working some magic
I initially worked as an Account Manager for Benefit Cosmetics then as a Beauty Consultant for Clinique learning to work with latest products and with contemporary techniques. This was an invaluable experience as not only did I enhance my makeup expertise but I also saw first hand how even a simple makeover could transform a person’s whole demeanour and outlook. We’re probably all aware that looking good on the outside can definitely generate an uplift on the inside.
Visit the ‘powder room’
I set up my own makeup business in 2014 working from my own studio in Poole, complete with studio lighting, camera equipment and spray tanning pod. I moved to London N22 in 2019 and now offer a fully mobile makeup service. I don’t have a ‘one size fits all’ approach to makeup and by talking things through I can better develop an understanding of your aspirations and character.
